Night Time

Last night I collapsed in bed about 9. I was going to get up later and have some dessert. Yeah, didn't happen. I fell asleep on the end of my bed. At some point I woke up, realized I was asleep, turned off the TV and crawled into the right end of my bed. Guess I was tired after Thanksgiving.
I promised you some pictures I took the night before we left for South Dakota, and since I am totally at a loss for a post tonight, I will keep that promise!
These were taken with my baby, my Nikon D60, which I love, love, love! I had to use a tripod because the shutter speed was soooooo slow. It was weird to press the shutter and then finally have it snap finished many seconds later. First, a repeat of the moon pic, cause it was so awesome, and then another one that was an accident, but I love how the lights make tracks. It is actually a barbed wire fence, so I don't know why it turned out so cool, but sometimes accidents are good things. You will have to click on the picture to view it larger if you want to see why I liked that particular picture.

The mountains in the following picture are actually across the Great Salt Lake from us, and if you look, you can see the lake too.

I love the reflected moonlight in the following pictures. And the star you can see just above the side of this next mountain picture.

I guess it just goes to show you, night or day, whatever the season, I am blessed to live near one of the most beautiful places on earth! Thanks for letting you share my photographs with you. I sometimes feel like one of "those" parents, who pull out picture after picture of their darling child, while the company hides their yawns and keeps sneaking looks at their watches.

these ARE beautiful pictures! I took Jaren in to Best Buy today to show him the camera's I'm wanting. His reaction was as expected "HOW MUCH?!" haha. But then he said, "Okay... I'm glad you showed me them, now I know what you want" I told him I didn't need to get one till sometime next spring or summer. That way we can work up to it :)

You're kidding, a barbed wire fence. That's crazy.

Great shots! Will you teach me how to take pictures without cutting people's heads off?

Great shots---I cannot get a clean shot on super slow shutter speeds even when I am using the tripod--I think I am going to try a remote shutter clicker thingy.

My moon shots are never that good
