First Mountain Monday of 09!

I joined the other hordes of mothers at the grocery store today. You could tell who we were. The ones kind of floating around the store, with dreamy smiles on our faces, as we grocery shopped ALONE, while the children were back in their cages classes, where they belong, staying out of our hair learning their lessons like good schoolchildren everywhere. The clerk who checked me out, asked me how I was. I said GREAT, school has started again! The clerk said that the store was much quieter and the moms seemed much happier. I know I was. The boy's doctors appt when fine, we have a blood draw tomorrow, can't wait! ahem. We did some minor med switching in hopes of not killing helping the boy with his moody, defiant little self. At least we have a plan, and that helps.

Sadly, there are no mountain pictures. Not from lack of trying, let me tell you! It was storming most of the day today, so the clouds were covering the mountains. I thought I would travel a bit closer and see if I could catch any pics that way. Well the hill I have to travel on it a bit steep and when I went to go up it, everyone was about halfway up and then turning around. I thought, what a bunch of babies! Yeah, ahem, until I tried. I got halfway up, and well, there wasn't enough traction to counteract the gravity. So, along with everyone else, I turned around. After I got home, the Pea and Jack agreed to join me in looking for some good winter pics at least. The Pea does not disappoint. Nor the crazy dog. Here ya go!

The Pea loves to eat snow!

Snow angel

Jack doing his crazy cartoon dog run

Making a snowball to throw at Bam-maw

Can't you imagine standing under this pine tree with me? Watching the flakes gently tumbling out of the sky? Sometimes, (especially if you aren't driving in it) snow can be so incredibly beautiful.

We shall see what the following Mondays bring. Thanks for hopping over, and I've noticed I have some new commentors! Stay tuned for a All About The Tangleds Post soon.

21 Kids Who Want To Play:

I will accept the lack of mountain pictures only because there was an abundance of cuteness to be had. And my kids love to eat snow, too. Geesh...

The pictures are AMAZING as usual!! I wish I could have gone to the store ALONE!! I still have about 3 years for that one!!

Who needs mountains when you have HEAPS of cuteness like that.

Glad you had a good first day back to school :)

Those pictures of her are hilarious!

And I have ever told you I hate the snow. Stupid Baby New Year AND snow.

So everything will be back to normal then? yeeessss.... All blogging and everything. But I still have a week off! Be glad you're not MY mother!

I like the snow if I don't have to drive or walk in it.
I had the extreme pleasure of driving through the drop off zone at school today.

Twice.

Grocery shopping alone. Hmmm. That would be interesting. Instead I've got a one year old and a 6 month old. No chance of doing it alone any time soon, so I was NOT one of those mothers floating down the grocery isles yesterday.

GREAT PICS!!!!!!

I hate the blood draws. Yuck! It used to take 7 adults holding her. Lovely. Then I told J they were sucking the yuckies out and now they're a piece of cake.

Jo, I have to tell you that I adore the photos that you post on your site. Your snow angel is just that...a true little angel.

I can SO relate you to regarding the trip to the grocery store sans children. I get giddy just thinking about it. The store clerks must think that I am high or something, given how chatty I am. :)

Is your dog a Corgi?? If it is, perhaps you should get Corgiville Christmas by Tasha Tudor— I think the kids will love it.

Just remind her not to eat yellow snow! Not good for you.

So you think you can use cute grandchild pics to distract us from the fact that you have brazenly skipped the mountain pics? Is that what you think?

Well, you would be... right.

I'm looking forward to the All About The Tangleds post, even though I already know All About The Tangleds!
