Franken Teddy

I am teaching needle felting class currently on Thursday evenings. I wonder if this is how a drug dealer feels? All excited that someone else is getting hooked on something you enjoy so much yourself? Bwaahhhaaahaaaa! (insert evil laughter), you will poke wool and you will like it!
One of the gals in my class is starting on this teddy bear pattern. Don't get all concerned about copyright. I bought the pattern myself a couple of years ago, and this lady bought her own pattern, (I would never make copies of someone else's pattern!) and I am helping her with it.
I had to make another bear, in pieces, so she has an idea about proportions and etc. Because he is an example, and not thread jointed yet, I had to hold him together with felting needles, hence his name for now. Dang, he is so cute!
Here he is! I am just so tickled at how well he has turned out. He will be finished when my student is ready to finish hers, so I can use him as a demo.

This is totally random, but what the heck??? I ordered this little bitty MP3 player and it came in a LARGE box, that had another box, which was still huge, comparing it to the player. Who is the idiot in charge of this? If I didn't know better, I would think Kristina has converted this company to her ideology of using all the earth's resources in the next five years!

Cute bear!

How odd on the packing materials. Perhaps someone was drinking a bit on the job and wanted to be EXTRA careful so that no one would ever know.

He's soooo cute! They look like a lot more work than the piggies!!

I would agree that company is not eco-friendly!

Cute little FrankenTeddy!

They probably sent thelarger boxes so the package is less likely to get lost. I know someone who ordered an iPod as a Christmas gift and never got it because the small package somehow got lost behind the seat of the delivery truck.
Either that or the delivery guy spent several days enjoying some tunes.

When this post popped up on my screen, the first thing I saw was a poor defenseless teddy bear with NEEDLES STICKING INTO HIM FROM ALL ANGLES. And I thought, "Jo? Jo could never do such a thing!" BUT I WAS WRONG.

Good thing there was a rational explanation!

I wish I lived close enough to take your needle felting class. But I'm glad all OUR snow is gone, bwahaha!

Franken Teddy is so cute. I think I am in love with him!

Now I'll go hang my head in shame that I have no talents.

I'm so glad that your cult is taking off. I had always hoped you could share your love of wool and needles with others :)

Awe. Look at you giving that lil' ole bear acupuncture. I didn't know acupuncture was your "thing". ;)

That teddy bear is so dang cute -- I loved how you compared your passion to a "drug dealer" that was funny. And, I have never understood the way companies package things--- DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THEY ARE DOING THEIR PART TO GO GREEN

It's like a voodoo bear! Ha, that same packaging madness happened when I ordered a book online. A GREEN book. It came in a huge box and was individually wrapped a couple times.

What a fun bear to make. CUTE. Not sure if I like the pig from the bloggy lunch better or not. They're both cute.

Adorable bear! Wish I lived close enough to take the class from you.

Hee! I would so take your class.

As for the MP3 player, please, send that picture into Consumer Reports. Their "Selling It" section has a Golden Cocoon Award. XD
