We were driving, Fiber Mama and me, and I told her, she had to stop! Look at that! She didn't stop. I kept saying, no, you have to turn around now, we have to go see that critter in your neighbor's yard. She finally, humoring her bizarre and very excited guest, but also saying at the same time I was mistaken, because why would that thing be in the neighbors yard? Well, she finally got her huge van turned around and I had my camera with me, and well, see for yourself! IN the neighbors yard. :::::shaking my head:::::
If you can't see it well, click on the pic to make it bigger, cause you ain't going to believe it!
So this big ole vulture is sitting in a teeny tiny tree, couldn't have been more than 4 feet tall and just spindly. Reminded me of another vulture!
Why? I don't know. But I can say, only in California, even the buzzards are lone wolves!

13 Kids Who Want To Play:
That is CRAZY!! Mabye there was a dead bird or mouse that he was going to eat or had just eaten.
thats not something you see very often....
Only about five more days for me. FIVE MORE DAYS!!
He was waiting for that little chuhuahua to come out of hiding :)
Paris Hiltons dog :) haha
Ew. That's one creepy critter!
(The word verification for this comment is "mylint". Funny. I'm pretty certain I de-linted my belly button this morning. Hmm...)
Cool!
It kind of reminds me of my kids standing around watching me while I'm making fudge or cookies or something like that.
buzzards are not very attractive birds. maybe that's why they roam alone. poor buzzards.
Wow, how cool is that?!?!
It's not just you... I couldn't even remember the name of the bird (we don't have them up here) so I thought to myself "holy, it's a Snoopy bird!"
Insane!! Also I made a cake the other day- lemon cake with raspberry sauce and cream cheese filling with cream cheese frosting. So I had leftover raspberry sauce and bought some chocolate ice cream just to eat it with.
Chocolate ice cream, raspberry sauce, hot fudge, whipped cream. Did I forget anything? It was YUM.
Reminds me of my cat every morning as he waits for me to wake up.
WOW! I have never seen one outside that close outside of a zoo. That's incredible.
Okay, now, that is totally worth stopping for.
