Shhhh!

Shhh! Shhh Eliza's animals, be very quiet, (they are noisy and chatty) we mustn't wake our guest. You will never, ever believe who I have sleeping in the next room! I can't believe it myself. Eliza is gone to surgery to have her woman parts cauterized, leaving me and I can't believe I am actually saying this....Cupcake! in all her glory! Cupcake came to see me!(I suppose she came to see Eliza too, BUT, it is all about me on my blog) Whoo hoo! She drove an unspecified amount of time from Cupboardsburg, (more than hour, less than 24) to Doolittleville. Oh my gosh, she is cute, cute, cute, (like as in drop dead gorgeous) and TINY! A wee bit taller than myself and every so much smaller, um... boned, yes, smaller boned, that is what it is. And of course, 5 children smaller around the middle. We had breakfast without poor Eliza who wasn't allowed to eat and talked and talked. Okay, I talked and talked, Cupcake kept asking questions, so I had to answer them, didn't I? She is napping now, leaving me a moment to wallow in the fact she was willing to drive more than hour and less than 24 hours to come and visit. (And blog about it of course). Bald Man says all is well at home. Little Man misses me a bit, but not too much. I think Pea misses me more, she keeps asking for her mamaw. Dang she is cute. Things seem to be doing better in Doolittleville and I am glad to help. While Eliza is not out of the woods yet, things are improving, at least from my point of view. If you have any messages I need to pass on to Cupcake, feel free. Love to all, from the grand environs of Doolittleville, your Jo.

Sorry, No Mountains Today Folks

One, the mountains are an ugly, smoggy, can't hardly seem them mess. They are not pretty.
Two, the REAL reason there is no pics of the mountains today:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Who in the world has time for the mountains when the Deathly Hallows are calling my name? As you can see, it was an illness that has gripped the entire family.

I am off to Doolittleville tonight, to give Eliza a hand for a few days. Bald Man was very sweet about shouldering the burden of home, hearth and Little Man while I help Eliza. I have a long list of things that need to be done, bought, and packed before I can leave. Little Man also has an appointment with his doctor in the Big City this afternoon. I am proud to say that I am able to cross off the item at the top of my list, the MOST important thing I needed to do before I left. I finished the BOOK! Whoo hoo, it was really, really good. Many twists and turns. Read it, read it.
Now I just have to do things like clean, go grocey shopping so there is food around here, things like that. Nothing so very important.

So in place of the mountains, here is a treat from Casa De Tangled.

Mountain Monday

First off, I have to thank all of you wonderful people out there. For enfolding me in your bloggy arms, and giving me the love and appreciation I was so needing. Sometimes life can get you down, people can be such jerks ya know? With all the wonderful comments and virtual love, I am feeling better now and that is all that counts.
That fire? The one that made my mountain pictures so ugly last week? Turned into the largest fire in Utah history. The air is starting to clear, but as you can tell, it isn't entirely gone.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I thought perhaps some sheepies would make the mountains look a wee bit better. Kind of like having your kid stand in front of you in your family pictures, so no one can see your unsightly bulges.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Like real life, the sheepies hid nothing, ah well!

Jo in Utah is feeling rather under the weather. The Princess and the Pea gave the gift that keeps on giving. The stomach flu. Remember last week when I was watching my Pea? Yeah, much vomitage ensued. After the Princess took her home, I scurried around the house with anti bacterial wipes and Clorox clean up. Yeah, what ever. Little Man began the vomiting on Friday night. I got up on Saturday feeling less than stellar. You know the worst part about Saturday? It wasn't even that I was getting it, it was that we had respite, for the first time in months and we couldn't use it. Booohoooo! I am still feeling a bit yicky, but it is improving.
So the end of my post will be the usual incessant Grandmotherly sharing of my new grand daughter, June Bug. Enjoy!

Don't ya wish you could just squeeze her cute little leggies and kiss those great big lips. Tell ya what. I'll do it for ya!

In Which the Vileness of My Life is Found Offensive

Let's face it my darling peeps. My life is vile. And more directly, my beloved little man is vile.
Remember the blog rating where my blog was found to be R-rated and not suited for children under the age of 17? For the use of the word "poop" too many times. Poop is large part my life. I talk about, I stare at it, I wash it out, I clean it up, I try to contain it, I try to make it come out, I rate it (color, consistency, amount) I call doctors over it, I discuss it with the Bald Man, daily, I discuss it with others at least weekly, other people ask me about it, poop is huge at the House of Tangled. The daily rhythm of my life is not suited for children, and I don't even watch R rated movies, they offend me too!
Others choose to be offended by the poop of my life. Others choose to judge the poop, crap, fecal matter, bowel movements of what my day to day life consists of. I don't even have to swear to make it offensive. Seems as though my son's very existence and the way he IS, offends. Well guess what? Sorry and stick it up where ever you choose. If you have an opinion about it, shut up unless you are willing to come over here and relieve me of some of the vile hours of my days.
Now I am sure my beloved readers are wondering where this rant is coming from. And I assure you, it has nothing at all to do with ANY of you. Sadly, the ones who should read this post never will. But the good of doing this is, I need to get this off my chest and I know I will feel better once I do.
For any new readers and some older ones, please buckle your seat belts, keep your arms, legs and any other body parts you wish to stay attached to, inside the vehicle. We are going for a ride on the honesty train.
People seem to be under the assumption that children with disabilities are "special" and I mean, sweet, loving, holding flowers, blowing kisses and waving at others with a sweet and age delayed hello from their wheelchairs. Angels, precious little angels. Yeah, whatever. If mine is an angel he works for the other side. He is mean, angry, violent and destructive. He has ODD. Please read the checklist. See those 8 characteristics? They rule my days. Everything is a battle. I am not exaggerating, I wish I were. Every day, we fight to get him showered, dressed, hair combed, meds ingested, teeth brushed, shoes on. Each one of those things is a battle, every day. And like many battles, some are small, and some are large, depends on the day. But I will tell you now, he always resists each and every one of those things, every day.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Daily, I am hit, I am scratched, I get called names, I get spit on, I get my hair pulled. Some days more than others, of course. Daily, I clean up pee and poop from clothes and from other places. He refuses to move his bowels without being forced to do it, often needing to be threatened with a time out or stopping a game or show he is watching. I am forced myself to deal with it, because he has soiled his underwear, again. On the weekdays I only have to do that 2 or 3 times. Weekends are oh so lovely, cause then I get to do it, usually at least 6 or 7 times daily. Even though I am saying "I", let us not forget my Bald Man who has to deal with it every day too.
We have been told, more than once, if we decide the job of parenting our boy is too much, he will be institutionalized. There just aren't a lot of places for children like him. He is hard, very hard.
In spite of all of this, we love him, we love him enough to deal with all the crap, every day, and still love him, not for what he does, but for who he is. A child, our child. We love him enough to dread that a day might come where we can't do this anymore. My deepest nightmare I pray I will never face. Enough that we have had only one weekend, away without him in almost 10 years. We love him enough to want the best for him, to rejoice for the things he accomplishes, like riding his bike. We love him enough to find the miracles. We love him enough to not hold a grudge when he is being ugly, so when he feels like it, we can still cuddle him and tickle him and laugh with him, even though just five minutes before, he had scratched me and told me I was stupid.
I deal with it in many ways. I talk to other parents who understand, who let me say what I need to. If I complain, they know I still love the boy, but he is driving me nuts right now! And if I have something to be happy about, no matter how small, they are happy with me. I blog about it, obviously! Knowing you love me and care about my family too. Another one of the ways is my black humor. I know you think the best of me, and if I say something in print, or on the phone, you know I would never say it to him. It is important to me that I acknowledge how tough it is, how difficult he can be, because if I pretend that everything is okay and he is oh so sweet, then I am being such a liar and I just couldn't do it.
I need to say it is hard and I do it anyway.
He is my Vile Child. My Beloved Beast. He is hard, but I love him anyway.

Mountain Monday and Miracles

The mountains? Yeah, not soooo pretty today.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

There is a large fire in Central Utah and the smoke is blowing our way. It is ugly, smokey, smoggy and hot here. There are other things here though, near the mountains, that are much more enjoyable.

First the obligatory pool pics.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Princess' babysitter called in sick on Sat and today. I love my little stink bug, but it is messing up my routine. So grandma filled a little pool for the little precious to play in!

And now, the big news at Casa De Tangled. Raising a child with developmental delays doesn't mean they will stop developing. Kids like Little Man develop slower than other kids, and there are certain things he will probably never do. The uncertainty is the part that makes this even more miraculous. A precious moment, it brought tears to my eyes. What a kid.
We wondered if he would ever get there. This weekend he did.

A Happy Fourth

Princess was performing in a local town's Idol contest. And no big surprise, she won! Yippee, it was fun for her.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

It was okay for Bald Man and I as we had to watch the Pea and Little Man in terrible heat and well, it was okay. The best part was Princess winnning and going home. That part was great.

This is the Princess and the other contestants.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

You will notice Little Man, up front and smiling. Why wouldn't he smile like that at Pygmy's wedding? Little Beast and this time no one wanted him in the picture, but he wouldn't leave.

This next pic is Princess and her best friend who won the dance portion of the contest. Fun day for both of them.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And now, the rest of the story. See above picture? See that Little Man isn't in it? Well Bald Man was wrangling the Pea and I had Little Man and he would NOT keep out of the pictures. To keep him from running off, I had to pin his foot to the ground with my foot while I took the picture. You can see Princess and her friend all smiling, but what you can't see is me behind the camera, grumbling death threats at Little Man and holding him down with my foot on his foot. What I will do for a picture. Sheesh.

And for your enjoyment, a small video clip of our Princess singing. She is really good, I mean really good!

At the very end, you will see Pea running up to see her mama singing.

And now, My little June Bug! Check out this Mona Lisa smile!

And this little "oh", dang she is soooo cute!

So that was our fourth, hope yours was great.

Ya Hit Like a Gurl!

And according to the gender genie I blog like one too. In spite of my lack of fascination for some of the more girly things like shoes, make up and jewelry, the way I talk identifies me as being of the female gender. So go ahead, try it, post it, I want to hear if you blog like a girl or a boy.
And you know what? Not only am I a girl, woman, I am also a GRAND mother. You will have to excuse the lack of a mountain monday this week and instead I will share with you my little slices of heaven. Although in my defense, the pictures were taken in the apartment which is nestled in the bosom of the beautiful mountains.

A double scoop of sweetness:

Little Man was at his summer program so there was no hollering yesterday. Whew.

I have been teaching the Pea how to scoop water in a cup and dump it on my flowers. I left her on the balcony and just watched to see what she would do. First she stripped and then she did this:

A Family Resemblance

I am sure most of us have stories of being told you look like Uncle So and So, oh, you have Auntie What's Her Bucket's nose... It is a natural human instinct to try and find where we belong. In a culture that values community over all else, this becomes incredibly important. Knowing who is family and who is not, was life and death not so very long ago. I was astonished a few years ago. I had been attending a large gathering for people who work with the Native American communities and chatting with someone. When she found out what my tribal affliation was, she looked long and hard at me and said, "You look like a..." and blurted out the name of my maternal grandfather, I was impressed, but not too much, because anytime I go home, I get pegged for looking just like my family all the time. (Oh you must be a..., you look just like them) But then the young woman continued to gaze at me and said, but you also look like a.... Then I was really impressed because she had pinpointed my maternal grandmother's line. Wow. I realized the ability to distingush families and resemblances is most likely a culturally taught concept.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Dang! Ain't I cute? And I can see why some people have wondered if I had some sort of Asian blood.
I was really surprised when our Little Man arrived and I thought he looked very much like me and my family.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I suppose I shouldn't have been too surprised, his tribe is one of the ones that neighbors my tribe, I am sure we share more than just a few alleles.
No one ever asks me if my boy is adopted, besides being a bit browner than the other kids, he fits right in, looks wise.*

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

My Little Pea has entered an age where she reminds me greatly of her mommy. I find my self shifting back and forth in time as I play with her, feeling as if I am back 22 years and then shifting back to the present. Tell me what you think....

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And now. On to the minor crisis of the moment. Poor Girlfriend, she mourning the fact June Bug looks just like her daddy!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Girlfriend is blonde and was a tow headed youngster, all of her siblings are blonde. So to look at this sweet baby and see dark where she had supposed she would see light has been a shock.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

She was warned though. Bald Man told her that I have domineering genes and to give up hope the child would look like her. June Bug got Girlfriend's pouty lips, but the rest is all us.

*Not that I care, really. But adoption has so many issues revolving around loss, and one of the things adoptees mourn is loss of family resemblance.

Don't Let Your Kids Look!

I was over at Granny's and she had a widget you can click on and find out what your blog is rated.

Check it out!

Online Dating

Yup, me, your local Mormon lady was rated R for the use of the word poop 6x, gay 4x and crap 1x. I hate to say it, I guess my life is not G rated, although my mouth is.
Eliza is hatefully, terribly amused by this. Her blog was only rated PG. Guess the stupid rater missed her use of the "f" word just a few entries back. All I have to do is say the word "poop" to send her into peals of laughter. So, whatever, don't believe the blog rater, they don't know crap and I say, POOP on them.
And it is Mountain Monday, although my lil' bloggies, I am not as happy as I usually am. We had an emergency run to the Ped's office yesterday since Little Man's eye was tearing, swollen and had some eye boogers. He has pink eye. He is home today. Any hope of accomplishing anything today is pretty much out the window. Ah, so goes life.
Instead of listening to me whine, I will regal you with pictures of my life. Here goes:

The Mountains. That snow is ALL gone. But the mountains outside my window continue to be beautiful.

This Law Applies to Everyone

I was, um... indisposed this morning when a mighty thunder of fists was applied to my front door. This caused my birdy to squawk loudly. I quickly pulled up my pants ran to the front door, only to find a friendly neighborhood police man standing there. My first thought was "oh my gosh, what has JJ done now?" But no, thank goodness, I guess, it wasn't JJ.
Many long centuries ago, Sir Newton made note of a law, and whether we like it or not, it applies to all of us.
So what happens when this: Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
is being driven too quickly through our apartment parking lot and meets this?:

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Your votes are being tabulated and counted....

According to Sir Issac Newton, this is what happens...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Ah yes, Mr. Police Officer, who disappointingly enough wasn't even hot, was there to tell me we had been in an accident while our van was parked. Sigh. Stupid kid, he hit TWO other cars with much less damage on their bumpers and then plowed into the side of my van. I think he will be okay, he was sitting up, but he did hit his head quite badly. I am just glad it seems like no one was hurt badly or killed. But it did kind of start my day out badly.
And my husband? Geez, that man just scares me sometimes. Our van was parked right out side our apartment, just across the lot. There was a four wheeler plowed into the side of it. It was hit hard enough that it pushed the back end of the van clear across the parking space. It had happened when Bald Man was walking out to his van to go to work. But! Did he notice? Nope he did not notice a large four wheeler smushed into the side of my van. He did see the bloody boy who did it, but didn't notice the van. I wonder about him sometimes.
Thank goodness for me, there is a ribbon of sweetness woven through each of my days. Behold!

She's Here!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Her Royal Highness The June Bug came into the world in the wee hours last night. Her final uterine act was to keep EVERYONE up all night. Hopefully that will be the last of her little dramas. She weighs 6 lbs 12 oz.
Wow what a night! I went over to the hospital about nine last night and was immediately put to work as labor support. Girlfriend did an incredible job. If you had bet me money I would have said there was NO way she could/would have done an induced labor for as long as she did, unmedicated. But she did. The other grandma helped in the laboring department and I must say, the two grandmas rocked the house. Girlfriend was sorely afraid the two of us would fight with each other. With good reason. Other grandma is a nurse and me as a midwife, and we are both outspoken and well, yeah, Girlfriend's fears were not unfounded. But the day was all about the Girlfriend and both grandmothers not just comported themselves with dignity, but with compassion and love. By the end, we were hugging and crying together. June Bug had some troubles getting her breathing together and had to spend a couple of hours in the nursery being watched, but she eventually decided to behave and breath well. I am so proud of my son and the way he lovingly supported the mother of his child through her very long labor. Dang, I am proud of both of them. I had kept saying how much I wanted June Bug to inherit her mommy's luscious lips and guess what? She did! Look at those pouty lips. Can NOT wait to smother them in kisses.
Here is one of the new family

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And this picture proves how much I love you, my bloggy darlings. I am willing to post a very unflattering first picture of the Grandma and her new grand daughter.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Please do not try to tell I look fine, if you tell me I look just fine, I am going to start wearing a paper bag on my head so I don't have to torture people with my mug. Not a good picture of me, but it is a very good picture of how very much I love this dear little person already. I am blessed.

Thursday, June 14, 2007

Aaaaahhhhh!

Oh save me please. Little Man is home sick with a nasty cold, today is the second day and I am trying very hard to be a good mommy, but by last night, when Bald Man got home, I was soooo outa here.
Yesterday sucked and I am hoping for a better day today, but we shall see.
On top of Little Man being home, the Princess and her Pea were over too. Princess has a kidney infection, bad cold and fever, Pea just has the nasty cold. But after taking care of three people yesterday with Pea and Little Man at their incessant best, I was done people, done! Today Princess has another fever and so does Pea. I am hoping I will not be asked to do any rescuing, because I am not sure I have it in me today.
AND! The big news, Girlfriend is currently hooked up to Pitocin, (do not ask me how I feel about it, since you do NOT want to hear my tirade about western medicine and childbirth) and since she is quite favorable for an induction, we should have our little June Bug here today. Um, not quite sure how in heaven's name I am going to be able to get over to the hospital to see her, since I have the monster and he is sick... but I suppose I will figure something out...
The apartment is a mess, I am grumpy, Little Man keeps saying, "I'm not sick, I want to go swimming", with me, saying, "you are NOT going swimming, stop asking, you are sick, you can NOT go swimming" oh, at least 50 times in a hour, which makes me even grumpier, yah, it is not even 9 and the day sucks. I have escaped for the moment, Little Man is watching a movie on cable, (Flushed Away) and I am trying to stuff breakfast down myself and type a blog post at the same time.
Say a prayer, send my Oldest Son and Girlfriend some prayers for a safe delivery and I will talk to you later.

Mountain Monday Again

Here ya go! This last week, the heat wave broke and it rained and rained. Precipitation at higher levels is snow, as you can tell. Very, very pretty mountains, with green, white against the blue sky. It is going to be hot again this week.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Still waiting for Girlfriend to have the baby, she is so miserable with the heat and everything. And of course I can't wait to get my hands on my June Bug. Oldest Son overall has been admirable with the pregnancy, he is very loving and spoils Girlfriend with her every whim. I love it when he shows his sweet side. He will be a great dad.
Gee, I guess I am boring, I can't think of anything else to say! Anyway, Happy Mountain Monday to all of my bloggy dears.

Friday, June 08, 2007

Sorry!

I have been a bad blogger this week. It has been a bit nutty and life is very full and round as you can see.....

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Our little June Bug will be here by the 14th of June. I am in the middle of trying to make my new grand daughter her ragged edge quilt. This on top of having to drive all the way into the Big City to pick up more formula for Little Man. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention... you remember the eating thing, with Little Man? He quit. He is down four pounds. So being out of formula is just not an option right now. It was nice while it lasted. The eating thing, that is. It gave us more time, and that is not anything to laugh at.
I will leave you with something cute and something funny.
First the cute:

My Brown Eyed Girl

And now the funny:

Okay, I give up. If you can't see it like me, then just go to Youtube.com, put in Meeko, cockatoo in the search bar and watch bird vs cat, part 4. Stupid blogger.*****

If you turn up the volume you will hear the kitten hit the wall. These two are soooo funny together and are good friends. After Meeko chases the Kitten Formerly Known as Justin away, she says to her "come on, come on". The kitten isn't really afraid of the bird, so I guess Meeko hasn't really given her a good bite... yet!

Conversation With God

READER ALERT!!! ...Alas, Jo's internet is down until tomorrow, so she is paying instead at an internet cafe type place for her fix today. No mountain monday. This post will take the place of MM today.

God, Um, I don't mean to whine or anything, and I really am very grateful for my blessings and for answered prayers. Really. But, could I please beg you for an uncomplicated blessing?
We are so happy, really thrilled that Little Man is eating. It is no small miracle and every bite he chews and swallows is met with prayers of gratitude and thanksgiving. Really, I mean it.
But I just don't understand, why if it goes in, the coming out has to be so complicated? So many phone calls, hours of worry, and the conversations about poop! Oh my gosh. Especially the one to the lady who didn't identify herself on the phone and I thought was the GI nurse, but turned out to be the school district's special ed person. That one was not so good. I was quite embarrassed. And I felt stupid.
And then we have all the medicines, because Little Man is so complicated.
God, we are really so glad that the medicine worked, that he didn't get all stopped up and impacted, because we have been there, and being inpatient, and NG tubes, Go-lytely and enemas are so very unpleasant, and we are really grateful, I mean, really, really grateful that it didn't get to that point. But did it all have to come out at 3 in the morning? With poop like everywhere? Is there any particular reason that we were all up, and there was poop in the bed, and poop on the floor and poop all over the bathroom and even getting all that poopy stuff in the washer, I had to wash down the washer, cause there was more poop? And did he really have to stay up the rest of the night? So come Saturday day, Bald Man and I were absolutely dead with tired and we couldn't do anything that day? Don't get me wrong, we are so very grateful our prayers were answered, really. But 3 a.m.? Did it have to be 3? That is the part I don't get. If there is something I am missing here, please fill me in.
So, please God, don't think me ungrateful, but could we please have some uncomplicated blessings? I really am too tired for anything else. Either that or send a maid. I could deal with that. Thanks as always, Your Child, Jo

Blogging For LGBT Families

(click on the pic for more info)

At the request of a fellow blogger I admire, (Hi there Yondalla ::::waving:::)I decided today was the best time ever to talk about being LDS and NOT being anti-gay.
You can read more about this issue at this website: Affirmation. Officially the Church is very anti gay and went so far as to come out in public support of a bill banning gay marriage and legal rights for gay couples in 2004. Article in wikipedia. I personally voted against the bill. It is complicated to disagree with the culture of the Church, especially in Utah. If this issue comes in the conversation, I inevitably end up being stared at as if I am an alien, and I suppose in some ways I am.
It all comes down to just this simple sentence for me.
"I refuse to feel threatened by other people loving each other."
In the book of John in the New Testament, our Lord and Saviour says to us "This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." ( I don't notice any kind of extenuating circumstances, like, don't love them if they are gay)
My hubby and I have been married for almost 27! years. How does two men or two women, or one man and four women threaten the institution of marriage? In my eyes it doesn't. No one can threaten my marriage except for myself and Bald Man.
I feel very strongly that families need to be protected. And when I say family, I mean any group of people who are choosing to live and love together, and very, very especially when there are little people who need/should be protected. They need legal protection, they need to have access to medical insurance through the big people in their lives, they need to be protected if something in their family goes awry.
So today, I am blogging in support of all families. No matter what they look like, just like my family, love holds them together ultimately. Go hug your family today. We all deserve it.

It's Always Something

The local newspaper called me to tell me they are publishing my letter to the editor. I am really glad they decided to do it, because there have been a ton more letters just berating the birth father for being selfish and refusing to do the right thing. I am just livid at the fact this child was taken without his permission, so basically kidnapped and everyone is so quick to tell the birth father how rotten he is for taking him from the only home he has known. For heaven's sake, are we going to start saying that about other kidnappers or non custodial parents taking kids?
The behind the scenes news that you won't read in the newspaper is that the little boy has been returned to his birth father. I am well aware, (nine years as a foster parent, remember?) that this isn't going to be easy on the child, and I would never say this was the best case scenario. But is the father's fault? Or the adoptive family and adoption agency's fault? My vote falls for the latter.
Way good news! Little Man has been eating! Like really eating, for the last few days. More food in one night than he usually eats in like a week. Wow. It rocks, he is definitely puttin on some weight. We are cheering.
The downside? Bet ya thought there couldn't possibly be a downside to our son eating. Well, sweet boy, it is always something. Yay, whatever goes in, has to come out. And Little Man? Well, he suffers from, um, poor gut motility. The poop chronicles had come to a complete stop. Not so good. Thank goodness we saw some "results" today after two days of less than productive income. A phone consultation with the GI doc's office and all that too. Geez, it really is, always something. At this point, it looks like we are praying for poop.

Spring is springing in so many ways.
Bald Man and I actually got some respite this weekend! Know what we did? Took our precious Pea to the park.

Once more I have some respite hours, so in spite of it being a holiday, Little Man is gone for a bit and I am enjoying some peace and quiet.
