Once a Bald Man and his darling sweet wife,
were moaning and bewailing the unfairness of life
when, who to our wondering eyes should appear?
But our respite worker, so kind and so dear.
He stood on the doorstep, with his smile so wide,
and asked if we would like to venture outside?
We jumped at the chance, threw clothes on the boy,
and then we both danced and capered with joy.
We were sprung from our prison, we planned our escape
to the movies and a dinner out, our plans just took shape
we laughed and we ate, we had a great time
I've finished my poem and I am impressed with my rhyme.

YAY for respite and some kid free time!
Yay! Dinner, movies, out--sounds wonderful! The stuff of great epic poems!
You are too cute! I'm glad you got a much needed, well deserved "Time Out'!
Even angels need angels sometimes. I'm glad you got your much deserved break.
I'm SUPER impressed with your poem.
What movie ?
Excellent way of describing your night out. You're a poet and didn't know it.
I'm also impressed with your rhyme!
Yay for dinner and movies!
Brava...keep up the good work...It would seem a night out brings out the poet in you. Maybe you need more "adult" breaks. You would be writing a novel if you got a 2 week holiday....
Not to mention your meter.
so happy for you.
Hee hee! That poem rocks!
