And ain't it great? I was mostly just being silly with the last post about electronic jinxes. While it isn't fun to have to replace the stuff that Little Man breaks, honestly it is just the reality of raising a child with disabilities. I was pretty freaked out until I was able to replace our respite worker's Ipod, then I was fine.
So on to the mountains. It has been raining the last two days, and I waited til the last minute to get out and take the pictures today. But I am not sorry. The clouds were kissing the tops of the mountains and I think the pictures turned out well. But I will let you be the judge of that.
And now, some other pics to entertain you.
You haven't seen many picture of our Squidling. She has been just about the most miserable baby I have ever seen. She has really bad reflux and pretty much all she does is cry and puke. Thank goodness the doctors decided to give her some medicine for her poor little tummy and she is doing so much better now. We are even getting some smiles! Now if she will just put on some weight.
She has a dimple in her left cheek, just like her big sister!
The cousins had so much fun playing with each other yesterday.
I know, I know, the cuteness is off the charts! But I can't help if my grandbabies are the cutest ever, can I?
The only downer today is that Little Man is having some sort of neurological issue. I am not sure if it is seizures, or what, but he is definitely off. I had to pick him up from school today and I had the Pea with me. One of his teachers asked him who that was, and he could not remember her name! Normally he is fine with names, but this was a bit disconcerting, for me to have to tell him her name, when he lives with her for heaven's sake! I am not sure what is going on, but his teachers said he had been like that all day. I will leave his neurologist a message tomorrow. I am concerned, but I hope it just goes away on its' own, so we don't have to deal it.
And how was your weekend and Monday?

Autumn In The Mountains, On Monday (Update)
Or not!!!
GAAAHHHH!!!! I am sure you can hear my scream from where you are. 300 pictures, gone. Sigh. Sometimes I hate computers. No mountains, no pretty yellow and red trees, no June Bug, no pumpkin patch. Gone, gone, gone, like a puff of smoke, as if they never existed. No meet and greet, no Jack, no Pea and Little Man, no Squid. Nope, they got eaten by the computer who then refused to throw them up. Ah well. Good thing they are all fairly replaceable. The kidlets will still be here later and so will the mountains and trees and fuzzy little bee. Dang, and I had some really good ones! Let me say, this is a perfect ending to a really sucky five day run of pure crap. See ya later, my apologies for the non post.
*****Updated to add*********
How the hell did that happen? Well, since Kristina the Blog Queen asked, I, a mere, peon, must answer.
First, you must set your Adobe to delete the pictures off your card as they are copied on the computer, BUT (this part is very important if you wish to repeat my stupidity) you must FORGET you told the computer to do this. Instead you think, like always, after you have copied everything, you will have to go and delete them off your card. Be sure to remember the part that isn't going to happen.
Second, you must have a minor glitch with Adobe as you are loading the pictures, and find, after they come off the card, (and have been deleted, but you don't know that) that they are all single pics in your picture folder, instead of neatly stored in a folder named MM Oct 20-08.
Third, you must make a folder named MM Oct 20-08 and have, about 300 pictures that now need to be moved to the folder.
Fourth, realize you need to hold control, and click on every single pic that needs to be moved, and then realize the computer is copying them into the folder and leaving them lying about untidily and singlily in your pictures folder.
You then get really, really frustrated and after moving them to the folder, do wholesale deletions and emptying of recycle baskets, because you keep hitting ctl-c which copies, and now you have many, many pictures.
Fifth, you decide to get rid of everything and just start over, because this is soooo not worth it.
Sixth, realize when you go to look at the card, that you told it to delete everything after it went on the computer and you have no back up.
Seventh, scream.
Eighth, decide this is the cap on a really sucky five day run of a suck fest, of which the meet and greet was the only good part.
Yup Whitney, the lettuce pic is gone. Gone.
P.S. I am not completely stupid. I reset my Adobe to leave the pictures on the card until I tell it to. Seemed the wisest thing to do.

Mountain Monday, Bah Humbug!
Remember how I said Spring had arrived? Yeah, well the day after I posted that, it was down into the 40's. Yuck. Rainy and not so nice for the rest of the week for the most part. I am not impressed. The only decent part of it is the clouds made for some good pictures today.
The boy had a birthday party today. It is only like his second one ever. He had a good time and the other mom was very patient with him. Little Man had a good time!
A couple of self portraits here, before I snagged my camera back from him.
And what would Mountain Monday be without really cute pictures???
Turn about is fair play!
The Pea has a thing about ungrillas (umbrellas) I LOVE the way she says it!
Jackie Boy has this thing he does. Sometimes, when I take him for a walk and no one is around, I let him off his leash and he just goes nuts! I call it his crazy dog or cartoon dog run, because it is the most flat out, full on, unbridled dance of joy and life you have ever seen. This last week I was lucky enough to catch some pics of his doggy joy!
Around and around he runs until he collapses into a pile of fuzzy, panting doggy happiness. He makes me smile!
He isn't the only one feeling Spring in the air, (Somewhere!)
Hope where ever you are, Spring is already there, or just around the corner, and that in spite of the weather, you have some joy in your life too!

Mountain Monday And I Think It Is Finally, Really, Spring!
Or dang, Summer! It has been in the 90's here, which, in my book, qualifies as Summer, not Spring. We turned on our AC, and um, yeah, nothing. The good part about having broken central air when you are renting is you don't have to pay for it and it looks like we will get a new AC unit. Until then, we swelter. BUT, the weather is paying off in being very pretty and I have LOTS of pictures for you.
The mountains look glorious in green!
We have been spending lots of time at the park. And no, Little Man hasn't gotten lost, (yet...)
We fed the ducks/geese/eagles (Pea insists on calling seagulls, eagles)
Einstein McDuckersons
This goose has a surprise hiding:
How cute is that???
Lilacs
Meeko
It is a continuing delight to me to have it be EASY to get a smile out of the boy.
Hopefully you are not bored out of your mind looking at my last week's pics, but I had a great time taking them. Life is looking pretty back on track for now. Yay!
