Mountain Monday Blogaversary!

It has been two years! I don't know about you guys, but it has zipped by on my end.
I thought I would do some flashbacks just for the heck of it!

First Blog Post ever:Blog Virgin!

The post where I tell you about my family:All About The Tangleds Just add two years to all the year thingies. The fun thing about this post is I remember so very well when I wrote it. A memory frozen in time. Probably because I felt so guilty writing it at the time!

First Mountain Monday post ever:First Mountain Monday

The most popular post ever:The Post on Vileness Well, the post that got the most comments anyway!

And now, on to your regularly scheduled Mountain Monday. First with the SNOWY!, YES, snowy mountains. And then on to the cuteness.
I can not believe that it is Spring, because, oh my heck, it snowed like 5 inches last night! I am highly annoyed. But it makes for purty pictures. The snow, the blue, the clouds, wow! Here ya go!

We haven't seen much of the June Bug lately, since we have all been feeling poorly. She has been grumpy and I have been tired. I can not believe that Little Man hasn't gotten this stomach bug. I understand it is flying through Utah like the plague. Eww.
I have some fun posts planned for the week. See ya'll later.

The Puke Fest of '08, Ad Nauseum

The cat is in heat and is mewling and crouching all over the apartment. It is annoying. The Vomit fest continues here at Casa De Tangled. I actually threw up yesterday. First time in about five years. I could count on just a few fingers all the times I have thrown up in the last thirty years. This time reminded me,vividly, why I choose not to partake of this particular bodily function. This bug, while short lived, is particularly virulent. Bald Man and Girlfriend are currently being counted among violently ill. I, being just mildly ill now, have been relegated to the ranks of the healthy and currently am wrangling both Little Man and June Bug while the other parents remove their intestines into the maw of porcelain. Obviously it isn't going too bad with the two of them, or else I would not be talking to you right now! Little Man is playing Spider Man on our newest electronic household member, the Wii, and June Bug is in the high chair practicing her fine pincer grasp with some Gerber puffs.
Tomorrow is my 2nd Bloggaversary so I will try to post tomorrow, depending on the gut status here. Ugh.

The Great Puke-Fest of '08, The Reprise

This blog is currently being interrupted by the Vomitessness revisited. The Pea was the first to be felled by the bug, then Princess, then last night June Bug proceeded to puke everywhere. It does seem rather unfair to me, that this isn't my kid, nor does she live here, yet I am doing loads and loads of puke laundry. I woke up this morning tired, so I went back to bed after Little Man left the building. I woke at noon and realized that my sweet and beautiful grand daughters decided to share with their beloved grand mother. All blogging will stop until further notice. I gotta go lay down again... I probably won't actually throw up, that takes an actual act of God to happen, I will just wish I were. Hopefully this can not be passed through cyber space, or else all my readers are in BIG trouble.

Mountain Monday And More!

The mountains are in fine form today. I have many, many pictures to share with you, so I will not wax poetic on the lyrical beauty that surrounds me, but instead, let the pictures speak for themselves!

Bald Man and I had the chance to take a nice long walk today. We were able to rope Girlfriend into babysitting the boy, who is still on Spring Break. (Break for who? Not me that is for sure!)
We took Jack the dog along. Come and join us. We saw so many amazing things!

If anyone knows what kind of bird this is, feel free to enlighten me. I just thought it was purty!

Winter was trying to hide from the spring sun.

A robin, a sure sign spring is almost here!

Jack was sure he spotted something. We hated to tell him it was just a large bug.
Photobucket

Poor Jack got a couple of these in his paws. We call them devil's heads. You can see why!
Photobucket

A hawk!
Photobucket

I caught her in flight!

Photobucket

Can you tell who made this mess?

Photobucket

Here are some other clues

Photobucket

Photobucket

Beavers! Busy beavers! There was a lot of evidence they had been quite active during the winter.
Photobucket

Deer tracks!
Photobucket

Raccoon tracks!

In the paper this week there was an article warning that a cougar had been spotted on my favorite walking trail.

These boys reassured us that they had actually SPOTTED the cougar just a few days earlier. They were on cougar patrol today. Armed with paint guns we felt they were keeping us safe. (snicker)

Photobucket

Yeah, until we saw this!

Photobucket

And this!

Just for size reference, that is Bald Man's hand:

Spring is springing!

And now, for the long awaited cuteness!!!

As you can see, I have no qualms about torturing my grand children too!

It amazes me. I never seem to run out of picturs to share with you guys. I guess I have good camera fodder! Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

The First Fix-it Friday of Spring

Can you believe it is Spring? All our snow is melted, but we are not out of the woods since our last hard freeze day is May 1st. Until then, the jury is out for real Spring.
First of all, go trot on over to Eliza's Mom who, as a black belt AND a karate instructor, has some useful tips on staying safe!

Fix-it Friday!

As for myself, I am going to share with you some sites that make me smile! There is nothing wrong in the world that a good chuckle can't make lighter.
I am a daily checker of the following two sites. They either make me laugh or grin, or just say, awwww!
Eliza's Mom is the one who turned me on to the following site:
I can has cheezburger? All I can say is some people are sooo funny. And silly. And perhaps certifiable, but still funny.
Cute Overload. Enuf said that that one!
Lest you should think my sense of humor is all goodness and light, I shall now strip you of that illusion.
Another favorite that really makes me laugh!
From a little company with the lovely name, Despair.com, we have
The Demotivators! a funny spin on something all of us have seen.

What do you think of when you read these sentences?
"He spent every lunch hour at home, curdling the burrito."
"One thing I could never figure out was how he kept his shoes on while holding the blazing eel."
"Alone once again, she retired to the bedroom and began hazing the groovy nether squid."
Should some less than wholesome thoughts be what crept into your mind, FEAR NOT, this is just The Always Amusing Euphemism Generator and it is always guaranteed to make me smile. One button click and you are on your way to your own amusing euphemisms.

I am much amused by how language can get messed up in translation, which is why the following site makes me laugh too.
Engrish.com
This is a new site to me and has more to explore than I have had time lately to do so. But what I read was pretty funny. Bored.com
Hopefully these links will put a smile on your face too! Have a great weekend.

A Gentle Reminder

HEY! Tomorrow is Fix-it Friday and also the start of Little Man's spring break, which means he is home for the next four days. So if I can get a post up, it would be simply luverly if I had a couple of Fix-it Friday buddys!

Two tubie funnies.
Recently I have been taking Little Man swimming. He LOVES the water. Big Time! He had an inner tube that he was playing on last week. It kind of got away from him. Princess turns to him and says, "Little Man, watch out, your tube is floating away!" He immediately looks down at his tummy with horror as he thought his g-tube had come out and was floating away. Princess and I both howled with laughter.
Last night we went swimming with a friend of mine who has two boys. One has a g-tube also, like Little Man's. As the boys got ready to go swimming at the pool, the older, tubeless brother came out with a shirt on, the tubed brother was shirtless and obviously showing his tube. Little Man walked over to the older brother, lifted up his shirt and said, "where is your tube?" Pretty funny. The other mom and I got a good laugh out of that one. It is really nice for both of the boys to hang out with other tubed kids. Makes them feel a bit less self concious.
See ya tomorrow for Fix-it Friday!

Mountain Monday on St. Patty's Day

It snowed and rained lately so the air is sharp and clear, and what this means for you, is the mountains are looking so BEAUTIFUL!

These next pictures are taken from the top of a hill and goes all the way across The Great Salt Lake to another set of mountains here in Utah, the Lakeside Mountains, hmm, wonder why they call them that???

While I was trying to find the perfect mountain picture for ya'll, I found a sign spring is coming!

And now, Jo's favorite photos from the previous week:
I hope you are prepared, because there is an overabundance of cute this week!!

I know you are under the impression my grandbabies came to the world in the usual way. Can you keep a secret? We actually ordered them from Grandbabies R Us! I don't know how they packed them so well, but they did, here is the proof:

And yes, I do realize that The Pea is naked. Again. Actually that child gets dressed many, many times a day. It just doesn't last long. When she grows up she is going to wonder why she never had clothes on. Not from the lack of trying from her parents and grandparents, that is for sure!

I was busy in the back bedroom and when I came out, I caught the Easter Bunny scoping out our place! He must be getting ready for the weekend!

I hope you survived your overdose of cute! Just think, I have to live in all this cute, it is like swimming a lake of cute, you are always in danger of swallowing too much cute and losing it completely!
